How we got our name “Happy Snakes”:
When we first started, it was difficult to remember who would host next. So,
Jimmy sequenced the first letters of our last names in order of rotation (“HSWGZ”) and constructed a
mnemonic to help us
remember: “Happy Snakes Wait Gladly at the Zoo.” We could never find a
name that we all liked, but we did fall into using the first two words
“Happy Snakes” when referring to the group and it stuck.
The Snakes logo was designed by Roger for a set
of wine glasses that Mary and Jimmy purchased in honor of our tenth
anniversary
